High Point Furniture Market officially kicks opens Saturday, October 19th and runs through Thursday, October 24th. Typically, most of the market traffic has waned by Wednesday at lunch. Thursday can feel like ghost town in most showrooms. If this is your first time to market, make appointments if you plan to visit a showroom before Saturday or after Tuesday.
Some showrooms are open on the Friday prior to market opening due to pre-market sales meetings. Pre-market can be tricky for appointments, because showrooms are busy getting prepared for market opening day on Saturday, Oct. 19th.
There is so much going on during market between showroom appointments, social and educational events, I decided to group the events by day and categories for my own sanity. It took a while to do this and after I got it done, I thought why not share it with others. Hopefully, it will save a little time for some of you.

The majority of events are scheduled from Saturday through Tuesday since those days are the most highly attended. Please check the High Point Furniture Market website for the complete listing of social and educational events offered with detailed descriptions.
I have broken the events out into Track #1 for Interior Designers and #2 for Furniture Retailers, however, often the two areas cross. If you are an Interior Designer who has a storefront and sells furniture then you would be interested in both tracks. Likewise, if you are a Furniture Store, who has in house designers you may want to attend some events from both tracks as well. All the events sound fabulous. I listed the events that offer CEU credits separately. If you need more credits this is a great way to get them. For a listing of social events check out yesterdays post. If you missed it you can access it here. Between this post and the social post you should be able to round our your calendar, once you have your showroom appointments finalized.
