I've Been Tagged!!!!

Here is a little Friday Fun For You!

The fabulous Beth and Kristy the mother and daughter team behind Design Chic "tagged" me in a super fun game where you answer eleven questions about yourself and then come up with eleven more questions to ask eleven other bloggers. Isn't that fun?  I sure you know about their gorgeous blog, but, if not, please pop over and check them out! Their blog is so inspiring and  full of great ideas design tips and beautiful photos!

HeHHer

Here is a little sampling of what DesignChic has to offer.  This is a enjoyable post from
Design Chic  earlier this week...on Matthew Sapera
I think you will agree their blog is a worthy of subscribing...
We hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing Easter holiday! We're getting back into the swing of things today enjoying the fabulous taste of architect Matthew Sapera
We adore the detail work and molding on these walls. It goes to show that, with the proper touches, white walls are anything but boring.
Ahhhh... what a gorgeous place for a bubble bath. Simply striking.
Who couldn't use more closet space? We know we sure could. We adore the idea of everything being hidden by matching doors like these. It's so streamlined.
Painted paneling is one of our favorite looks, especially in a beach house. It's a way for even a new house to feel like a bit of a throwback.
We put a black and white striped rug like this in baby Will's playroom, and we love it! It's such a bold statement on the floor. Aren't those black stools amazing? The design is so striking and creates extra seating without taking up visual space. That's especially important when there is a gorgeous view on the other side!
The perfect place for catching up! That campaign chest looks like it was made for that spot. We love little nooks like that!

The neutrals in this kitchen make it feel so clean. That is one of the most important attributes of a good kitchen, after all.
Frameless shower doors make a bathroom feel so much bigger!
Using painted paneling and beams on this vaulted ceiling makes it feel more spacious without seeming cavernous. The splashes of green make a great statement.

Isn't that a great blog post?  Their posts are always this beautiful and informing!

Now Here are the 11 Questions from the tag & my answers...

Lisa's answers...

 1. If you were given the choice between a million dollars and maintaining your dream weight for the rest of your life what would you choose?

OK, don't think I'm vain but I would have to choose weight!  LOL!  You know that old saying "if mama ain't happy ain't nobody happy", when I am not comfortable with my weight, I am miserable.  And I know for sure that money doesn't make you happy!

 2. What is the best lesson you learned from your parents?

It is better to give than to receive.

 3. Where would your dream vacation home be?

St John, USVI

 4. If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life what would it be?

I know it's boring but it would be black!  Or maybe pink...

 5. What is your all-time favorite movie?

Casablanca, I could watch it a thousand times, actually I think I have...

 6. If you could choose an animal from any movie to be your pet what would you choose? (i.e. Babe, the monkey from The Hangover...)

I think I would choose Stuart Little

 7. Up to this point, what has been the best day of your life?

The day I became a mother, July 23, 1986

 8. If you could date any famous person (assuming you were unattached, of course!) who would it be?

My first two picks died in 1999, JF Kennedy Jr and Payne Stewart, so I
am almost scared to pick anyone, but I guess I would choose to date
John Saladino! (please don't die john!)

 9. If you could take a one year sabbatical and go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Bali

10. If you were given a million dollars to donate to your favorite charity/cause, what would you choose?

  1. I like that you picked Bali for a sabbatical; any place in the South Pacific or in the vicinity of, would do be perfect. SJVI is another favorite spot although I have only been one time. I would have guessed you'd pick pink but black may not serve you too well for a whole year on an island :) Did you really meet Martha Stewart? Design Chic is a regular read; love the inspiration.

  3. Hey Jillian Nicole!!! Yes I did meet her and she was sooo nice! This morning I met Roy Williams in Chik-fil-a. He is the coach of UNC Chapel Hill and we are big tar heel fans so that was exciting but meeting Martha was a huge highlight. I couldn't get over how tall she is and how pretty in person. Met her in High Point when she debuted her line for Bernhardt. We had a small gathering and were able to ask her questions after she spoke to us. It was fun!

  5. Lisa,
I just love this! We honeymooned in St John, so it has special meaning. I agree...I"d pick my "ideal weight" over $$.

Now, the fun part. I get to answer YOUR questions! I'll work on it and get it up this week!
Hope your week is off to a beautiful start!
