One of the most fascinating showrooms at High Point Market this October Market was the Stanley Showroom. Stanley was showcasing a collection of vintage Mid Century Stanley pieces which had been purchased and restored to their natural beauty. This fit right into with my mantra for "authentic" design. This collection is proof positive for investing in "authentic quality and good design". The 40 piece collection is as sought after today, as it was in 1950 and 1960, when it first debuted. You may remember that I chose the Theme II Hall Credenza above as one of my Style Spotter Picks. I thought it was truly amazing that Stanley had the vision and took the time, effort and money to bring this collection to market. The pieces were acquired through antiques shops, newspaper listings, ebay and word of mouth and then painstakingly restored to their original beauty.
