Only 12 Days Til Design Bloggers Conference!!!

I cannot wait to attend Design Bloggers Conference in Atlanta on March 6th.  It is such an informative conference for design bloggers.  However, even if you don't blog, it is a great place to network for designers, companies and brands.  I am always amazed at the opportunities that arise from my attendance at DBC.  Have you registered to attend?  If not, you'd better get registered today!  You don't want to experience FOMO (fear of missing out) now do you?

I cannot not wait to hear "How to Make Wordpress Simple" or "The Top WordPress Plugins We all should be Using" in the session lead by Digital strategist Adrienne Brown and Natasha Murphy.  If you want to know more about this topic or the speakers, click here

Don't worry, if you aren't into Wordpress there are plenty of other courses you will enjoy!  For example:  "Proven Social Media Strategies for the Design Industry" or "How to Avoid the Most Common Mistakes of Online Selling" or  "How To Make Your Writing Sing" and many more!

Registration ends on March 3rd!!!

Need info on signing up to attend?  Click Here
Want more info?  email me Lisa@lisamende.com with questions.
Always happy to share why DBC is a must attend event for bloggers, designers and industry brands!!

Want to Be a Social Media Superstar?

I don't know about you, but if I am trying to become a better version of myself, I always listen to people who have accomplished what I want to achieve.  I mean really, who goes to a fat aerobics teacher if one is trying to lose weight?  Throughout the generations artists have studied Picasso's works to become better artists, so if you are looking to become a social media superstar, why not look to a social media superstar, right?  Who would you choose?  I choose Justina Blakeney after all; the woman is brilliant, beautiful and extremely talented.  I had the good fortune of serving on a panel with Justina at the last High Point Market and I loved meeting her!

So where can you hear this wonder woman of social media, you ask?

The Design Bloggers Conference is the only conference that focuses completely on bloggers who blog about interior design.  I have attended the conference for the past three years and cannot figure out for the life of me, why I did not go before 2013!  The first year I attended, I was amazed at how much I learned.  I wrote so many notes my hand was numb at the end of the two days.  The information was great but not the only perk of attending.  I was thrilled to meet other bloggers throughout the country whom I knew through social media but had never had the opportunity to meet face to face.  Once we met at DBC, we were instantly friends because of our social media ties.   I also made contacts with companies and other brands that have been important to my business.   The networking alone was worth the two days I spent at the conference.  The second year, I signed up early because I knew how much I had gained from my first years attendance.  That year I went better prepared with more business cards and came away with even more valuable collateral for my brand.  The third year was the charm.  If you come to the conference this year, I'll meet you in the hallway and share why I call the third year the charm but otherwise, I'll let you guess why I say that.
Let's just say when I leave the conference this year with the wave of a hand I'll bid you "Au Revoir" and head to the airport for exotic lands because of a trip I won at the conference last year!

If I haven't convinced you yet, just keep reading....

Design Bloggers Conference 2015

I'm so excited to be at the Design Bloggers Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.  The weather may be cold and snowy outside, but the weather isn't getting us down.  We kicked off the event with the Nate Berkus!  Nate has an innate ability to make everyone feel like he is speaking directly to them. He brings a calm, common sense approach to design.
