Mastermind with Tobi Fairley

Tobi's Foyer
It's  8:25 in Little Rock, Arkansas and I am packing my bags to catch a flight home.  It has been a whirlwind trip.  I flew down on Monday to become part of Tobi Fairley's Mastermind Group.  All I have time to say is "Wow".  The past few days have been incredible.  I have had the privilege of being mentored by one of the countries leading interior designers and met other amazing interior designers whom I now call friends!  All in all it was a win win trip for me!
I plan to blog more about my trip, Mastermind and our time in Little Rock, once I return to Charlotte.  I'll even give you a sneak peek inside Tobi's home.  I'll share photos of some of the rooms  that weren't  in the magazine spread.
It has been an awesome experience!  Can't wait to tell you more!  Toodles for now, I have a plane to catch!

Penny Ball - Tuesday Tidbit

A Penny For Your Thoughts...

via

Have you ever made or seen a penny ball?  I saw these images when I was rambling around Pinterest and thought how clever!  I have always loved spheres in gardens, but most of the ones I have been drawn to are quite expensive.  This one piqued my interest, because it could be made with pennies.  All you need are a bunch of pennies and an old bowling ball to make a beautiful garden sphere, that not only repels slugs, but also makes hydrangeas blue?  I think this could be a fun summer project!  The pennies don't patina like 100% copper does, but what a great looking sphere to add a little interest to your garden.  You have to use a really strong glue like Amazing Goop in Home and Garden or marine formula because it is UV resistant and waterproof according to Beth Evans Ramos of a Greener Life.  House of Hawthorne has a tutorial here.  I am going to start saving my pennies now so I can make a penny ball with my kids this summer!  Of course we have to find an old bowling ball too but that shouldn't be so hard, right?

Finally, a purpose for a penny other than weighing down my purse!

Motivational Monday....

It's Summer and while the beach has been calling my name, there are other things calling my name louder, above faint whispers of the waves.  I am away with some very talented designer friends, hoping to chart the path for my future.
It's been a long three years, but I am really ready to get back to work and life.  Wish me luck!

Caroline Simas, Fabulous Friends on Friday

Sorry I have been MIA!  I Was Working Out of Town
this Week and am Just Now Getting Back to My Blog!

Today's Fabulous Friend on Friday is
 Artist Caroline Simas!

Caroline lives in Charlotte, NC like me!
The funny thing about her being my fabulous friend on Friday is...I have never actually met Caroline, but I felt she should be my fabulous friend today, because I just won these great  coasters she from her blog Designing for the SoulThey are from Coasterstone!  We are planning to have coffee in the near future so hopefully I will be getting to
 know Caroline better!

Aren't they adorable?  You can read about it here!

In her own words, Caroline is "a licensed artist
who is blessed to design for manufacturers, who use her art and patterns on products sold worldwide.  The bird coasters I won are part of a collection Caroline has licensed with Coasterstone!  I have to say, they are prettier in person than online!  I am thrilled over my new coasters!

A couple of the companies Caroline designs for are Tervis tumblers, Coasterstone and Dayspring and Demdaco but there are many more!  She has an exciting launch this summer with Creative-Co-Op which I am excited to see.  This product line will be her "Be Still and Know" line and the purpose of this line is to suggest you have a corner in your home where you made quiet time for devotions.  I think that is a lovely idea, don't you? Here are some photos of products that will be in that line.

Her company is called Multiple Blessings and if you click over and read her bio you will find out why this is the perfect name for her business!

Caroline's blog is a sampling of her design passions, inspirations, sneak peeks into her new licensing agreements and busy life juggling a career and raising her four children.  She has a strong faith which often inspires her inspirational designs. Please check out her blog here and join her page on Facebook here!

As you can see Caroline is always smiling!  She says that is because she is doing what she loves!  I think it really shows, don't you?  Caroline is also in the middle of a renovation in her home being designed by my talented friend Katie Emmons.  Who knows, may be they will let me come over after they finish and photograph so you can see!  That's something I plan to discuss when I have my coffee with Caroline!  (Don't' tell her!)

Thank you so much Caroline for my beautiful coasters!
I hope you sell tons and tons!  Can't wait to see what you design next!  It is always a blessing to see someone who uses their talents to glorify God!  It is also good to see a local success story! Yay Caroline!  Keep up the good work!
