Garden and Gun magazine is a favorite read for me. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up a recent issue to discover a local family's home featured. Located outside of Chester, SC The Belk farmhouse was designed by Ken Pursley of Charlotte, NC. The Belk home definitely leaves an "emotional impression" as Pursley so eloquently stated. This isn't your typical farmhouse. This home makes you realize that architects can create magic. When I look at the photographs of the home, I can almost hear the laughter of a happy family around the table. I can visualize children running up and down the stairs. I can imagine the heavenly feeling of climbing into one of those bunks and closing a curtain on the world? Don't you want to visit? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my invitation is in the mail.
