Breaking News from DXV!!!

I'll bet you thought this was sculpture didn't you?  Well, it is, sort of....
You can call it functional sculpture.

BREAKING NEWS from DXV!!

I just returned from New York where I was a guest of DXV by America Standard.  I was there for the unveiling of the bathroom I designed using DXV products.  My bathroom is one of five projects that were unveiled this week by DXV for their 2015 advertising campaign.   I cannot wait to share more about my bathroom, and the other designers involved.  The DXV team also unveiled three new faucets that night as well. It was an exciting time for the world of plumbing fixtures as the DXV team launch the first ever commercially available faucets created with additive manufacturing, better known as 3D printing which redefines the way water pours from the faucet into the sink.  This allows for a magical way for water to enhance the user's experience.  This method employs a computer-guided laser beam which fuses powdered metal into the shape of the faucet with high heat and pressure after which a solid metal block rises up from the powder carrying the water inside.  Two of the faucets focus on reinventing the way water is brought to the user while the third design is focused on designing the experience of water.

The design of this sculpturally beautiful faucet is focused on re-thinking how water is transported, this design uses the inherent strength of the alloy to run water through a delicate filigree pattern to the spout of the faucet. Like magic!  This is true jewelry for the home!

DXV took notes from nature when designing this faucet.   The water runs across the top of the spout, creating the effect of a stream bouncing on the rocks of a riverbed.  The DXV design team used Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) technology to adjust each of the 19 waterways.

This faucet Exquisite design meets cutting-edge technology and a butler finish that evokes the look and feel of gently aged, buffed silver.

Designs such as these are why I look to DXV for cutting edge technology in beautifully crafted products.  I'm proud to be a member of the DXV Design Team for 2015!  I'll be sharing my bathrooms and the bathrooms of the rest of the team this week.  Until then, feast your eyes on the latest products from DXV!
