50 Shades of Hype.....

I have so much more I want to post about our events at Blogfest but the truth is
I have to actually work today and don't have time for a meaty, post so
check back tomorrow for another exciting Blogfest treat.  Today, I am jumping
on the bandwagon of "The Fifty Shades of Grey" hype.

Are you reading it?
I thought so!  You and everybody I know.  So thoughts people?  Do you love it?
Hate it?  Neutral?  I typically read design books or historical fiction so this really isn't my
genre, but hey, I didn't want to be left out of the "girl chatter" with my friends.  The best recap I have read about the series is by my new friend at The Aestate.  Please go read it!  You will be in stitches!  She nailed exactly how I feel about the book.  If that isn't enough head over to The Design Blahg for her recap.  She pretty much feels the same as The Aestate!  The only post I have read that could redeem posting about smut on a design blog, would be the post from, Hi Sugarplum this morning.  She actually chased down pics of the Escala in Seattle where most of the story takes place in the penthouse.  Here is a pic of a bathroom in the Escala, just so you don't forget this is a blog about interior design....

To view more pics head over to Hi Sugarplum and please let me know what you think about the books?  Tell me who you think will play Edward,  oops, I mean Christian in the movie?

I am headed out the door for "Fifty Shades" of getting a
week's worth of work done in a day!  Can't wait to hear your comments!

Happy Thursday!

  3. HATED it! I really don't understand the hype. The writing is terrible! Character development? Story line? Plot? Nope. I'm all about some mindless reading now and then, but this was beyond mindless...brain dead is more like it!

  4. Lisa, thanks for the link love!! Like Kecia said, there's no plot! I don't know how they're going to make it into an actual movie, but if Ryan Gosling is cast in it, I will take back everything I said.
