Jason Wu & Brizo Too Fab for Words!

The successful collaboration between Brizo luxury brand and Jason Wu luxury fashion designer, resulted in a fabulous  "little black faucet"!   Brizo's design team's technology mixed with Jason Wu's fashion genius resulted in not just any "little black faucet"  much the same way that  Jason Wu's " little black dress,"  isn't a plain jane dress.  If you want to stand out from the rest, you simply have to choose the best!  So why not chose the brand that has both fashion, and function - Brizo!

Two luxury brands with the same philosophy,
"Why be ordinary, when you can be fabulous"!

I can't wait to share my Brizo Fashion Week Event!
It was amazing beyond words!  I am so far behind from my travels,I haven't had time to post!  I actually have to work today, but wanted to give you a little
peep into what's in store for you!  I will be sharing my experience with Brizo and the Jason Wu Fashion Show, once I get caught up.

If you want to pre-order any of the Jason Wu Collection pop over
to M'oda Operandi and sign up to be notified when the collection is available!
If the runway fashions are out of your budget, I have good news for you.  Jason Wu has a collection coming out in Nordstrom the first of the year at a more reasonable price point called Miss Wu!

House of Fifty!

Janell has done it again!!!!!
If you haven't seen the new  Fall 2012 issue of House of Fifty, please make sure you do now!  I think it is the best issue ever and not because "yours truly" is in it.
Janell has an uncanny knack for finding the most interesting people and stories to share with us.  I applaud Janell for following her dream and for allowing so many of us to be included along the way!  Thank You Janell for including me!!!
I hope you enjoy my article about raising boys!!!!

House of Fifty Fall 2012

Every time I read House of Fifty, I think wow!  How does she do it?  Every issue is chocked full of information that spans the gamut of lifestyle articles to interiors.
It is a must read for the modern woman in my opinion.

I especially enjoyed reading the article about Mayme Baker, the interior designer from  Greenville, SC.  Her shop isn't too far from me so I keep thinking one day I am going to take a road trip and go visit her!  Her house is very similar to my own design aesthetic.   I like color and so does Mayme!  Enjoy the magazine and your Wednesday! I am in Little Rock, Arkansas for my Mastermind Group with Tobi Fairley.  My past few days have been a whirlwind.  I still need to share all the details of my trip to NYC with Brizo and Jason Wu!  I have so much to tell!  Hopefully, I will get my posts done soon!

Take Care and Make it a Great Day!!!!

Finding Peace....

What does finding peace mean to you? How do you connect to your inner self?  To some, it is listening to the roar of the ocean, to others it is a good book in a quiet corner or cooking that wonderful homemade pasta dish for your family. Often these rituals allow us to relax and escape the chaos of everyday life.  The hum drum of the schedules and demands of a noisy world tend to clog our thoughts and create anxiety in our worlds.  We all need to de stress, relax and find our sanctuary. Is your home a haven that allows you to listen to your inner voice?  If not, the question is why?  Our homes should have a corner or a room that allows us to connect to our authentic self.  Peace means different things to each of us. Over the course of the next several weeks I am going to discuss what it means to create this environment in your own home and how you can find peace. Coming from a place of grieving,  I have first hand experience in how to create an environment of peace in a home. I want to share with you my thoughts and ideas of how you can do the same.  If you are coming from a place of grief, loss or rebuilding, there are things you can do to help with the process.  If you are a new mother, a busy professional or an elder learning to recreate a life after retirement, there will be nuggets for you as well.  Life is too short not to live authentically and experience the calm we all need to live life to the fullest!

Take a few minutes today to look around your home. Have you created an environment of renewal?  If not, begin thinking about ways you can.  Next week will  looking at ways to create our own sanctuaries.

"Your home - whether big, small, or somewhere in between - should be your sanctuary, a place where stress is left at the
door and your soul is nurtured." ~ Andrew Weil

The art above was a gift from my friend Edna when I lost my son.
It has continued to be a source of comfort to me during my healing.
