What I Have Learned About Life and Work...

I started working on a post for today, which was really going to be good, but you will have to wait for it.  What I realized is that it could wait!   This has been a killer week for me.  On Monday, I was one of the judges for the National Interior Design Society competition, which I must say had some really awesome entries.

Yesterday, I spoke in the Baker Showroom in High Point about Social Media and Olioboard.  I was so busy I forgot to take pictures, but I did ask today if I could come back and take some photos so that I can share the beauty of Baker with you!  I must rave a bit about the beauty of the Baker showroom!  It is just exquisite, not to mention they had cupcakes of every flavor and champagne after my talk!  Thanks to Debra, Becky and Dale!

After champagne and cupcakes, I went to the Unity In Design Silent Plate Auction where many of my friends and peers donated beautiful plates for the auction.  Ron Bristow and his team did a beautiful job!  The auction room was fabulous. The money raised from the auction went to The Sandbox here in Charlotte.  I met Abby Wright, the prom queen.  Below is Abby!  She is a Duke fan and will steal your heart within two seconds of meeting her!

Here is precious Abby Wright!

The auction was a lovely event due to the hard work of Ron Bristow, Betsey Lindsey and Becky Lewis.  Ron always puts his heart in everything he does.   Ken Novak was the man about High Point as he assisted with aspects of all the events and still had time to help me with my powerpoint,(he and Sheilah McSporran of Olioboard) or should I say did my powerpoint, as well as acted as support to me!  I have such good people like Ken, Ron, Becky and Betsey in my life.

Today turned into a day spent catching up on work, emails, then relaxing, recouping and enjoying my family.  Time with family is definitely more important than anything else in my life, even though I do like doing all the other things.  This week was full and my heart is full, I feel really blessed.  Life is too short.  Make sure your choices are worth the effort and the time away from you family.   Enjoy your weekend!
