Thanksgiving Thankful!

Via
Thanksgiving has come and gone, but my feeling of thankfulness remains abundantly present.  I decided to take a break this week and focus on my family, hence no blog post since Monday.  My mother has been sick, so we traveled a day early to the family cabin, so that I could do things my mom usually does to prepare for the Thanksgiving gathering.  Our cabin is only 5 years old, but it feels as though we have always had it.  It's only about 10 minutes from my parent's house, but it has become a favorite gathering place for our family especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas.   I went a day early to the cabin, so I could make the flower arrangements and prepare some of the food.

I wanted to share some pictures of our day with you.  {click to continue reading….}

It was a fun day complete with a family photo shoot.  Here is one of my favorite pics from the shoot with my parents and their great- grandchildren.  You can see not everyone was thrilled with the concept.

This photo is of the great grandchildren and the grandchildren.  Imagine what it looked like when there were 10 more adults added to the group!

It's been an amazing year for me.  I've had the opportunity to travel to Paris with Design Trust, London with Modenus , California with Traditional Home and Thermador, Salt Lake City to Alt Summit, Tennessee with Brizo and so many more places.  I've made so many new friends through my work and my blog.  I feel extremely blessed and grateful.  Thanks to all of  who have given me so many opportunities.  All in all it has been a year filled with goodness!

  When I think of all I have to be thankful for it boils down to my family and friends.  Our loved ones who weren't physically with us, were definitely there in spirit.  I will leave you with a quote which if put into practice, would turn everyday into a day of Thanksgiving….

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” — William Arthur Ward

What do you do for the Thanksgiving holidays?  Only 27 days til Christmas!!  Have you started shopping?  Today is Black Friday, one of the biggest shopping days of the year.  Of course for me that means fun shopping online!  I refuse to get in traffic and crowds to save a few dollars.  How bout you?  Do you like to shop on Black Friday?
